The Guidelines issued by the state of MA are for public projects only. So, there are no legal requirements for compliance with COVID-19 guidelines for private projects. What kind of project are you on? Give me a call and I will discuss it with you.

If a contractor you're working with or working for isn't following state guidelines, it may be worth bringing that to their attention before taking specific action. They might not necessarily be aware of what's required, or the inquiry might help to convince them to take things more seriously.
Another option may be to report them to your local government. There should be a hotline or email available for reporting violations. Alternatively, contacting your state government may help, too. While I wasn't able to immediately find the contact info for reporting issues, contacting the Department of Public Health might at least help to point you in the right direction.
Yet another option may be filing a complaint against the contractor with the state licensing board could be an option, as well, if the contractor has created an unsafe environment. And, of course, an OSHA complaint could be in the cards, as well.
