What should my next steps be?

Colorado

I was working for a company that is building a new Caliber Collision and they have been playing constant games with our money. Now they paid our subs but have our check on hold for a ridiculous reason. I pulled my guys from our site until I get a check and they terminated our contract. I am going to place a mechanics lien on the property but I think Caliber Collision may own the property outright and the building. They owe us around $100,000. What are my options in suing them? Thank you, Allen Dye Colorado Earthworks, LLC 970-566-5555

If Caliber owns the property w/no lien and you foreclose you should be able to get paid.

This sounds like a good lien foreclosure suit. Contact a construction lawyer to assist. Does your contract have an attorney's fee clause? I hope so as that would help. Depending on the facts, it may make sense to make a notice to disburser. Reach out and schedule a consultation as most of us offer free initial consultations and they can discuss your options, the timeline, and other options.
