I’m a general contractor who took on the role of a subcontractor with the homeowner acting as general contractor, I entered into contract to frame, side, and roof a home with a deposit up front and a draw upon completion of each phase. Upon completion of framing the home owner decided to not pay and trespassed me from his property, unprovoked and without reason. Now he is coming after me legally, he tried the the state license board and that didn’t pan out for him so he’s now retained a company called DCI and in my eyes he owes me remainder on contract but at minimum the $10,000 due to me upon completion of the framing. I definitely don’t see that I owe him $14k as he’s trying to come after me for
