Not all work in Florida will require a contractor's license. And, it's entirely possible that really simple work might not require much in the way of licensing or permitting. However, I'm no expert on Florida's license requirements. So, it might be more helpful to try the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation ("DBPR") website or to reach out directly to the DBPR to ask about state licensing requirements. Additionally, it'd probably also be wise to consult the county licensing and permitting office to see what, if any, local requirements may apply. And, finally, note that there are organizations - such as Licenses, etc. - that can help to ascertain licensing requirements then help to make sure those requirements are met.
