What is the timeframe for me to send a preliminary notice to the owner?

MissouriPreliminary Notice

We are the supplier and our customer is the sub contractor. In the state of Missouri I saw on Levelset's website that a notice needs to be filed but I couldn't find where it tells me the timing of when the preliminary notice needs to be sent. I did see that it mentioned the notice of intent is due 10 days before the lien but we aren't at that point yet. Going forward we will be submitting the job sheets in Levelset for this customer. Just trying to take care of some older jobs that didn't end up going through Levelset and want to make sure we didn't miss any of the deadlines.

In MO the notices you are referring to are one in the same and it isn't filed, it's served on the property owner. There's a lot of nuance to it and easy to make mistakes. I strongly encourage that you work with an attorney. I'm in the office today and happy to help if you want to reach out. Kevin Seltzer 314-862-1720 kseltzer@moliens.com
