What is the next step I need to follow up after the lien has been recorded with the county?

CaliforniaMechanics Lien

The owner is now disputing a construction defect which is caused by his designer (i.e. architect of record), and forcing me to correct that defect with no intention to pay me. I asked him to reach an agreement which will clearly spell out that I will not responsible for the design error or he is going to compensate me for the fix. If we do not reach an agreement on that, I will not remove the lien to his property. What would I have to do to formalize the lien?

Have an attorney prepare the Lawsuit to Foreclose the Lien, and file the Les Pendens with the County Recorders office. If you don't timely resolve the lien, you must file the lawsuit before the 90 days are up.

Thank you, Brion

I am reaching out to my client one last time with a proposal to remediate our dispute. If he does not want to reach an agreement, then having an attorney preparing the Lawsuit to Forceclose the Lien will be my next step. Thank you for your advices.

Would you be able to take on my case?
