My boss did some restoration work on a homeowners house. The customer has refused payment. His lawyer tried negotiating with them and they have refused. My boss doesn't want to invest the time or money in attorney fees on a 13k bill. I have told him to get a mechanics lien. Which route would be the best way to go in terms of time and money? Can he file a lien and not enforce? Is it possible to go all the way and get your attorney fees back?
