If it is less than 90 days from the last date you performed improvements on the property or delivered materials to the project site, then you can record a lien related to the money owed for work already performed. You may also have remedies available pursuant to the terms of your contract with owner.

Assuming you were in a direct relationship with the owner, and if you are within 90 days of your last actual work on the property, you likely have lien rights and can record a lien. You should do this as soon as possible to ensure the lien is recorded on time. There is also a deadline to send the lien to the owner and possibly others.
