I need to complete a release of mechanics lien in our office and will have it notarized as customer is requesting this be done ASAP. I am going to have it notarized as well. My questions are: 1) When completing a Release of Mechanic's Lien, what is an Instrument No. and where would I obtain this information on the original lien? 2) If I complete this in office, do I still need to do it via Levelset for recording purposes, or do I mail the original to the courts in L.A.??
Morning Brandi,
All the information you need for the release would be on the original affidavit of lien that was filed, if it isn't, you typically don't need to put it down. Since you have an account, I would like to pull up your account to give you the correct information. Are you able to give me your company name and/or email address? Typically you can just file the release with the county clerk where the original lien was filed and then provide a copy to us to note on your account, however, each state has their own rules. Look forward to hearing back from you.
Hi there,
My question was answered. Thank you very much for getting back to me.
Of course. Have a great week.
