I had you send a notice to lien to to my clients and they contacted me today saying they're sending a payment for we're almost 6000 less than what is owed what am I supposed to do
You are asking questions to attorneys that are not affiliated with Levelset. If you have questions as for Levelset's services, call them.
As a general matter (assuming you have lien rights), you can send a new notice of intent to lien if within the time allowed and correct the lien amount. If they don't pay then you file the lien and see if that helps get payment. If this is a small job for a homeowner, there is a good chance the lien will not work to secure payment. You are free to file a suit. If the amount due is under $7500, you should file in small claims.
