My husband was a subcontractor for a company that remodels Walmarts and Best Buy. This is regarding a job done for Best Buy where the contractor refuses to pay for work done since November. The contractor owes many people money. They had no formal contract however they have proof that they worked there and how much they were getting paid up until late payments and then non payments. What are our first steps? We are limited on money as are many of the other workers since they basically worked close to two months free so what can be done? We live in Georgia, the work was done in North Carolina and the contractor lives in Ohio.
