what can I do to my employer who has not paid me in seen weeks as well as the crew of 10 people

CaliforniaMechanics Lien

As of 12/6/19 I was an employee of a construction company as a PM. I invested 40k in a home purchase expecting a profit. On top of that I brought in hard cash loans to keep this company afloat. Now, the cash loans have exceeded 79k and further more the company whom I worked for fail to pay me and the crew I brought in for 7 weeks. So initial investment 40,000 + 79,000 hard cash loans+ 121,000 payroll. bringing this to a total of 240,000 plus. I left the company for not paying me the weekly check of 41.00 dollar per hour. I'd like to know how can a file a claim or file a lien against the property or project of which I did the work on

Your ability to file a lien and how best to proceed is going to depend on the nature and documentation of the relationship between you, the construction company, the owner, and the 10 person crew. Generally, a mechanic's lien can be recorded for the reasonable value of the labor, services, materials or equipment you have furnished to the project, but not for the loans or investment. Further, as an employee of the construction company, you would be entitled to record a lien without preliminary notice for your own work, but not for the work of the other workers. If you were paying the other workers directly you could be considered an unlicensed subcontractor assuming you do not have a license, and would need workers comp for those laborers if you do have a license.
