What can I do it’d missed filing mechanics lien for notice preliminary within 75 days

KentuckyConstruction Contract

We filed a mechanics lien after job was completed as in owner stopped the cleanup so it wasn’t technically finished but tried to dissolve the lien stating in it it has to send a notice to client within 75 days of last completed work but I thought u have 6 months to file a lien to the client what other options

It is difficult to respond to your question because there are different notice and lien filing deadlines depending on the type of job and the dollar amount.

However, if you contracted directly with the owner or the owner's agent, you do not have to send a notice.

You may also have a lawsuit for a breach of contract separate and apart from a lien claim.

Please consult an attorney in your jurisdiction.
