What are the State of Florida requirements for Welding, Steel Erection businesses?

FloridaLicenses

I will be starting an Industrial Business in Jacksonville, FL. That will specialize in Mobile Welding, Fabrication, Structural Steel(Pre-Fab) erections. I was needing to know if there are any state required licensing for this type business. If so, what are they?

I'm not sure whether mobile welding, fabrication, and prefab work would require a Florida license. But, for more information on Florida's license requirements, it might be helpful to contact the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation to see about statewide licensure requirements. Additonally, keep in mind that there may be city or county licensing requirements - so reaching out to  Duval County or the City of Jacksonville would be a good idea, too. Finally, note that one of these Florida construction attorneys may be versed in the state's license requirements. Plus, services like Licenses, etc. can help to navigate license requirements.

Trying to start a small welding business in Florida is such the run around. You call the County and they tell you to contact the State. The state puts you on hold for an hour and then just refers you to their website. No one at the State actually knows anything so they then refer you to their website. It's a giant circle of bearocracy. Which is why so many people choose to just work unlicensed.
