What are our lien rights?

Washington

Our customer is a plumbing contractor. Their customer is a swimming school and they lease space at a local mall where they will be opening / building a new pool. The property management company said the owner of the mall is aware and has approved the addition of the pool, all at the tenants expense. What are our lien rights in this situation?

I would send to the owner a Notice of Intent to Lien so that the owner is aware of what you're doing to their property. It would also be helpful for the owner to receive a written email or letter from you explaining what you are doing and who you are dealing with. Then if you are not properly paid, the owner will not be able to say that they never provided the authorization.
Good luck
