I have a siding remodel that was finished in January of 2020. The client still has not sent payment. He owes for about 75% of the project total.
Unfortunately, in Florida a claim of lien must be recorded within 90 days of last furnishing materials, labor or services to the project, so you are out of time for recording a lien. You can still move forward with suit for monies owed on breach of contract and/or unjust enrichment theories. If you timely recorded the claim of lien, you have one year to move foward to foreclose the claim of lien. Either way, it sounds like it is time to consult with construction counsel about moving forward with suit. If the amount owed is less than $8,000, you are within the jurisdiction of Florida's small claims court and might be something you can pursue on your own. I wish you luck.
