We are a General Contractor and we did a Roof Job back in July 12th, 2019. We had issues with insurance paying and then the homeowner was not responding to us I think we have gone past our time to file a lien?

If you are a general contractor, you have the right to file a constitutional lien, which carries a much longer time limitation than statutory liens. However, there are a few critical prerequisites that must have been met before you can be sure your lien (presumably on a homestead) can be enforced. I recommend reaching out to an attorney as soon as possible in order to protect any rights you have to collect from either the insurance carrier or the homeowner.

Can we use an attorney from levelset to assist us with this? If so what is the cost to file a statutory lien?
Thanks,

I do not work for Levelset, though I do believe they have lien filing services. Alternatively, if you need to retain an attorney in Texas, please contact my office directly.
