What amount should be used on the Lien?

GeorgiaMechanics Lien

I am trying to determine the amount of the lien. We have a project that is under contract in the amount of $3.8 million. We have been paid $2.5 million to date but now the contract is 80% complete so we should have been paid $3,040,000 on the base contract and we have completed $330K in changes to date that we have approved contract changes for, which is in addition to the contract amount. We also have $125k in outstanding changes and of the $125K in outstanding changes we have completed $82K. If we need to file a lien, what amount will the lien amount be?

You should state the total amount of work that you have completed to date as the amount claimed in your lien. According to my math, that would be $952k : $540k due on the base contract, plus $330k in completed approved changes, plus $82k in completed outstanding changes. Good luck and please feel free to contact me if you need any additional assistance.
