Was the AIA A201-2017 updated recently for Force Majeure language?

TexasConstruction Contract

I heard in a recent webinar the AIA A201 was recently updated for Force Majeure clauses relating to passing through increased costs due to the pandemic or supply chain delays. Is this true? All I see online is A201-2017. Thanks!

The American Institute of Architect contract forms are intended to be a standardized, integrated system of contract documents. The A201-2017 updated the 2007 version, and will not likely be updated for a few more years.

But you can modify the A201-2017 if you like. Retain a construction attorney to evaluate your legal position and to provide advice.

Good luck.
