want to file a mechanics lienfriend passedon1/1/22marriedgirlfriend12/31/21doeshernamegoonlien?

Ohio

ive been working on a rental proprty of a very good friend, best man in my wedding. since june 29/2021.finish today, but i have supplied all the materials & labor from start to finish! anyway no contract /just verbal. well he suddenly passed away on 1/1/22 married his girlfriend on 12/31/21 and he had kept saying that she would take care of the bill, she had access to his account. so after he passed that friday eve or i guess sat. early am 2am to be exact.she called me on that sat. morning she wanted me to sign to get his body cremated and needed my & laborsignature as a close friend,so i did. she asked approx. figure on what was owed up to that point? i told to give me a couple days and i would get back to her, so a day or two later i called her back and told her right around $12000 materials & labor.she said okay, i told her to send me a check and discussed what i was going to be doing as we had still alot of workto finish. and she said she didnt want anything to do with the place she was going to sell asap. well i havent heard a thing from her since, ive called and texted but no reply,s well my bill is $18,678 as of today. im done, so i want to get this lien filed asap before she sells it, and im out my money! so on the lien i have Jon,s name should i also put her name? i have it on the invoices i have drawn up. and if so how do i put it since i dont know if she has changed her name yet?please help,Thank you, Ron,

The mechanic's lien is against the property. The name (or names) you list should be the owners of record for the property. This may still be him if the property was in his name and it has not transferred to someone else yet.
