Under ND statute, can Employees of contractors file liens against the land of the owner for unpaid wages from Contractor

North Dakota
Anonymous Contractor

Chapter 35-27-02 of the Century Code deals with persons entitled to construction liens and states "any Person (including natural persons) under CONTRACT with any contractor has a lien....". "Contract" under the definitions section means "any agreement for improving real property". Does "agreement" include a contract of employment, entitling employees to file liens?

Hello, and thank you for reaching out. Your question may be too specific for an attorney to answer in this public forum. You may wish to consider consulting an attorney privately. Here are some attorneys from our directory in your area: https://www.levelset.com/payment-help/experts/construction-lawyer/north-dakota/. I hope this helps!
