Stop Notice - Need to Modify Amount

I am a subcontractor who filed a Stop Notice for $10,000+ and now we have agreed to $8,500+ Do I have to release original Stop Notice and file new Stop Notice and Bond for revised figure?

If you are getting paid, I would offer up the Release of Stop Payment Notice upon clearance of the payment. If you are just reducing your claim but payment is not imminent, you should use a Partial Reduction of Stop Payment Notice form.
