Should I send an unconditional on progress if our customer is asking for it and we already sent a conditional on final

CaliforniaLien Releases

I have submitted a conditional upon final payment for retention and our customer wants us to fill out an unconditional on progress payment saying the retention is excluded and still wants an unconditional on progress through the current month is this acceptable my thought is no.

If you have  been paid on the progress payment and the payment has cleared your account, I wouldn't have any concerns about submitting an unconditional progress lien release in the amount you have received if it doesn't affect the amount of retention that is owed and that is listed in your conditional final lien release. It doesn't seem critical, but the customer may want it for record keeping.
