Generally, the deadline to file a Rhode Island mechanics lien will be 200 days from the last furnishing on the project. Granted, Rhode Island liens will only cover the 200 days of work prior to the lien, so if the project has been going on for a while, it might be wise to file a lien sooner than 200 days after last furnishing to make sure that earlier work can be protected by the lien.
