Washington Retainage |
I am a Supplier working for an apartment complex. The contract amount $250,000 and the retainage 10%. We will delivery our product only (no installation/labor/work).
Is it legal to withheld 10% retainage on materials?

It sounds like this is a private job, and private jobs are unregulated when it comes to retainage.
But because retainage can be held from suppliers on public projects, I would assume that private jobs can as well (see RCW 60.28.011 section5).
