If you are within 90 days of the last day of work, you should consider filing a claim of lien against the property.
With a claim of $4200, you might consider filing a case in Magistrate Court (small claims)--the jurisdictional limit is $15,000.
It may be possible to get the owner to pay if you file a lien and have a lawyer make a demand on them. You should consult a lawyer on this matter as quickly as possible.
