FloridaLien DeadlinesMechanics Lien

Worked on an electrical house rewire directly for the owner. Am licensed. worked every day for 40 days and took 2 days off that were notified about. He fired me for no just cause and owes approx $9,000. Had deposited $11,000 on a $20k job. I had not filed any notice previously. Last day of furnished labor was June 18th, 2021. Now he says I OWE HIM MONEY! false. Can I still file a mechanics lien since I was in direct contact with property owner and last furnished labor was 70 days ago?

You do not have to deliver a notice to owner when you have a direct contract with the owner. You must file your lien within 90 days from completing the work, not including punch-out or trivial work.
