We filed a statement of lien on this contractor and still have not received money due to us. What is our next steps to pursue?

Hi there, If you have a proper mechanics lien recorded against a property and still not have received payment, the next step to preserve your lien is to initiate an action in the court system. Colorado law provides that lawsuits to foreclose on a valid mechanics lien generally must be filed within approximately 6 months from your last date of substantial work on the property.
