Prevailing Wage question

CaliforniaPrevailing Wages

When setting up prevailing wages, can I use any retirement plan provider and health insurance provider? Or, do I have to use a specific provider? What if the base rte + the costs of fringe benefits doesn't equal the total? what happens with the extra money? Does it get paid to the ee?

California's prevailing wage laws don't require that one specific provider be used for retirement plans or health insurance. But, beyond that, I'm not sure how to best comply with the state's prevailing wage requirements. Contacting one of these California construction attorneys might be useful - they'll likely have more experience with the state's prevailing wage rules. Additionally, there are a number of services - including Davis-Bacon.org, eBacon and Contractors Prevailing Wage - that might be able to help you with prevailing wage compliance.
