Good morning, It sounds like you may be looking to get a better idea about a contractor's payment history before signing on to take a job with them. That is a good practice to get into- as you want to make sure you extend credit to folks who can be trusted to pay you! One example of a credit procedure would be to ask the potential customer to provide one or more references from subs they have had a positive working and payment relationship with. That may give you information on the project management and job timeline you can expect in a future job together.
