As for a Mechanics Lien, as long as you did work with the knowledge or consent of the owner (or his agent, such as a General Contractor) you are entitled to a Mechanics Lien for the value of unpaid improvements. You would now have to take steps to perfect your Lien within the deadlines set forth in the Mechanics Lien Act.
