Hi, We hired a contractor to do work on our home- totaling more than 15K. He lied about being licensed. We reported him to the state and they’re suing him. Since our work was not done to code (no permits) we need to have it redone so it’s all on the up and up. This process is overwhelming. We know we need to have contractors come in and do bids and are otherwise overwhelmed and unsure of next steps or what hiring a lawyer looks like. Help!
