I'm not quite sure I understand the situation correctly. First, in Florida, a Notice to Owner "NTO" is sent, not filed. Further, the Notice to Owner is not notarized itself, and requiring that a release of a Notice to Owner be notarized would seem to be overkill - but a claimant could always write up a document "releasing" the Notice to Owner and have that document notarized. In the zlien system, an "Order Retraction Letter" might be sent in conjunction with a notice that was previously sent through the system - but Order Retraction Letters are not notarized. For more information on how to retract a notice in the zlien system, this article may help: How to Retract Your Notice in the New zlien. Finally - if the contractor has requested a document but the request remains unclear, it might be a good idea to ask that contractor for a more thorough description of what's requested or to ask them for a copy of the document they're requesting in order to gain a better understanding of the request and so you can speed up the submission of the release. I hope that was helpful!
