How do I protect myslf when working as a subcontractor on Public land and no NOC is required

First, a notice of commencement is required on all projects over $2,500.00. So confirm that no NOC is required. Second, you should serve a notice to owner/contractor, and make sure that the notice is served on the property owner and the surety to make sure you're covered.

Thank you. In Florida projects on public land do not require a NOC. So what do I use as the basis for submitting a Notice to Owner?

Instead of using the information from the notice of commencement, you would just have to look up in the public records who the property owner is and who the surety is (assuming a copy of the bond is recorded).
