hello, i have a person that did work for me who is not a licensed contractor and who just recently got her business license do some work for me prior to getting her license. she did the work with only a verbal agreement it be paid when i sell. everything was fine until she demanded i sell my house to a flipper i believe for less money than i would otherwise get or she will file a lean on me for $9,0000. can she really do that? will i be able to to dispute if she changes that 9k to 10k or 20k? seems unfair she can file what ever she wants for a few bucks and i have to pay thousands to disput it
