NJ Lien deadlines

New JerseyLien Deadlines

Hello! We worked on the project in NJ, and this project have retainage. In the agreement retainage is paid after 90 days from last delivery. Main order was delivered 11/18/2021, additional order paid by client also delivered11/18/2021. We also supplied remaining items/replacements free of charge on 12/22/2021. Now client is saying that they are still missing few items so they can't release retainage. We calculated our lien due date from last order paid by client 11/18/2021+90=02/16/2022, and we will not be able to deliver missing items till 02/16/2022. Could you please look into this and let us know if we could keep our last delivery date the date, when we deliver last items to complete project free of charge?

The time to file the lien is measured from the last date labor or materials are delivered to the project. It is not measured by invoice date. You have the correct time frame. Feel free to give me a a call if you would like to discuss it further.
