New company- C6/C33 license requirement

If I start a cabinet installation company, and hire a person with the proper license, can the company operate and bill for services as long as the person remains in good standing with their license and employed by my company? Or, do they need to be an owner?

As long as the employee is a bona fide employee (and not simply "renting" their license), it's possible for an employee to be the qualifier for a CA construction business. This is generally referred to as a "Responsible Managing Employee" or "RME." While CA licensing isn't my specialty, these articles should be useful: (1) Qualifying Individual for Contractor License; and (2) CSLB Cracking Down on the Practice of "Renting" an RMO or RME. Additionally, following up with a CA construction lawyer might be useful too: Find a California Construction Lawyer.
