TexasPayment Bond

I am from Texas and my work is in Texas. I sold a product to a subcontractor in January for a new school that just got completed. He tells me today he had a fall out with the general contractor therefore will not be able to pay me and wants me to file a payment claim against the general contractors bond. 1 is there still time for me to file a claim 2 am I considered a vendor or a sub contractor

Hi, In order to better assist you, I would need to know the date the material was supplied, the type of project, and information about the general contractor, property owner, and any potential bond. Based on the facts that you have provided, you should still have a claim for an action against the bond but there are a lot of facts I am missing. Feel free to give me a call or shoot over an email. Also, you would be considered a vendor. A furnisher of materials. Your claim rights still fall under Chapter 53 of the Texas Property Code. E. Aaron Cartwright III 214-789-1354 Aaron@EACLawyer.com
