My question is I took my horse trailer to get an estatement for repairs! I was told I could leave it there they woul look it over & give me estimate of what it would cost!

Indiana

So I kept calling to find out what the things that would need to be repaired & also what some other things that was not on the top of list what it would cost! According to the cost report I was suppose to recieve I would go from there to decide what I could afford! Which when I called is what they said they would do! I called many times & I IM them also due that is how they reached back to me! Finaly after getting the runnaround I told them after asking many times for the estimate that I need to get this done by a certain date & needed to know if they could do that & the cost prior of doing this tp get back with me Soon! I recieved no message or call until 2 days before I was going to go pick my trailer up they call with a message we have it done & this is how much it cost! I was in shock I did not get a chance to say what I could do? now I have this extreme large bill & they put a lein on it! How can they do that without notifying me about the cost prior doing it & letting me have the oppertunity to say this is what I can afford & do the want list another time? I signed nothing for agreement or approval how can that be able to be down?? Please let me know I live in Indianapolis,IN thank you Kim

Kim, I'm terribly sorry to hear that. Your situation sounds very frustrating. I wish I could provide more help, but our expertise lies in mechanics liens on construction projects. Reaching out for help at www.avvo.com might be of more help in this situation - on that site, attorneys in your area with more familiarity on situations like this will be available to help answer your question. Good luck, and I hope you get your trailer back safe and sound.
