Hello, I currently work as a 1099 employee for a construction company in Colorado. I have worked exclusively for this company for the past many months and am not allowed to promote my status as an independent contractor to customers yet do not get paid overtime. I am having issues getting paid by the unlicensed General Contractor but have no official contract with the guy for payment "over the amount of $500" as I am paid an hourly wage. Currently I'm owed about $2300. My question is: Can I file 5 separate mechanics' liens against his LLC and the homeowners currently under contract with the LLC in the amount of $500 each?
