Can a mold remediation company do general contracting, plumbing, electrical work if they’re not licensed for anything other than mold remediation and then file for a lien on my house and counter sue after I hired an attorney to get rid of the lien
Generally, if the work requires a specific license, a Florida claimant will only be able to file a lien for that work if they hold the appropriate license. So, filing a lien for unlicensed work will generally result in an invalid and unenforceable mechanics lien in Florida. As for counter claims - it's absolutely common for a defendant to file claims against the plaintiff. This is true regardless of whether those claims actually have merit.
