Good evening! I am assisting a friend who owns a roofing company with a rather complicated situation and am hoping you can help assist me in moving forward in the right direction. Here is our situation.... Back in August of 2020 he accepted a roofing job where he had to completely tear off the whole roof and replace it along with other little side jobs he allowed the customer to add to the contract between the two of them that brought the total cost to $18,674.45. This amount does not include late fees, nor accumulated costs for the filing of a mechanics lien (which he was to late in filing so he paid the money, but per MN law, he did not meet the deadline in sending this to the homeowner).
