Mechanics Liens on Minesites

IdahoMechanics Lien

Are there general guidelines for when you can and cannot file a mechanics lien on supplied equipment when it is located on a Mining property? Are these guidelines state specific?

Idaho allows mechanics lien claims for mining-related work, but every state handles these situations differently. So, while an Idaho lien claim could be filed for providing equipment to a mining claim - the same work might not be lienable in another state. If you have questions about the ability to lien for mining work in other states - feel free to post those state-specific questions here on the Expert Center and we'll knock those out as best we can! I suspect that most states aren't as friendly with mechanics lien rights for mining work, though.
