GeorgiaMechanics LienNotice of Intent to LienRight to Lien

Is there a minimum amount that a mechanic's lien would need to meet in order to be able to file it? Meaning, I am not being paid on like 20 homes, but the amounts are all under $500, could I still lien the properties?

There isn't a minimum amount for Georgia mechanics liens. But, there may be a minimum amount where filing a mechanics lien makes sense for you. Lien filings cost money and they can be tedious. So, you'll ultimately need to decide whether or not it's worth your time and the cost of filing that lien. But, if you're set on filing mechanics liens, this resource will help: How to File a Georgia Mechanics Lien – Step by Step Guide to Get You Paid. For smaller amounts, it might make sense to first pursue payment via Notice of Intent to Lien first. A Notice of Intent to Lien is cheaper and easier to send than filing lien claims - plus Notices of Intent often force payment all by themselves.
