I has a mechanic lien placed on my property and it statue of limitations of 6 months has passed and I want to have it released off my property as soon as possible

I would recommend writing the entity who placed the lien on your property telling them that the lien has expired (although they likely can still sue you for any money owed under a breach of contract theory) and that they should remove it asap as it is slandering the title of the property.
Please advise if you need any assistance from an Alabama lawyer(which I am)
