Mechanic lean filed against client property

CaliforniaNotice of Intent to Lien

I'm a GC and hired a subcontractor to do a pool. The pool shell cracked and I requested the subcontractor to test the shotcrete for psi strength at his expense. He set and send out a testing company that came and took samples of the concrete. Now this testing company is filing a lean against the property because the subcontractor didn't pay them. I also found out that the subcontractor I hired and trusted his license is canceled for over 1 year now.

Good morning. It will be important to review the subcontract to determine the rights, duties, and responsibilities of the parties going forward. It sounds like you may need to take legal action against the subcontractor.
