General Contractor was "let go" by clients in breach of signed contact,informed clients of fee to cancel contract,was not paid. Filed Mechanics lien which has now expired,want to know if I can now extend lien or retain lawyer to notify ex-clients and file lawsuit? Thank you
If you were the general contractor, then you can file a lawsuit against the Owner for non-payment/breach of contract. If you were a subcontractor, you would file the lawsuit against the general contractor. A construction lawyer can do either of those things for you.
