Hi
Im a GC in NYC
I just signed A101, and Owner wants me to sign a lien waiver for deposit/mobilization money.
Any specific form to sign for that?
Thank you
Peter
It depends what the language is in the “lien waiver”, not the title. Generally speaking, you shouldn’t waive your right to put a file a lien before you’ve been paid for work you haven’t been paid in full for. If the deposit received is non-refundable, and yours for a certain and specific amount of work on the job, then possibly this lien is ok. Feel free to reach out to discuss further.
