Lien waiver

A general contractor is asking for lien waivers for completed projects prior to getting paid. If I provide the waivers before getting paid and they still don't pay can I still place a lien on the property?

As long as you provide conditional lien waivers instead of unconditional lien waivers you will still have lien rights if you are not paid. Conditional waivers are only effective if you are paid. Unconditional waivers should only be provided if you are not paid.
