Lien on a cell tower

FloridaMechanics Lien

Our company is a sub-subcontractor working on cell towers. All our work is in FL. We completed several projects in FL, but were not paid by the subcontractor. We'd like to file mechanics liens. Upon researching the properties / parcels, in many cases the land owners differ from cell tower owners. Will the lien be filed against land owner or tower owner or both?

Our company is a sub-subcontractor doing equipment installation work on existing cell towers. On existing cell towers with equipment on them (antennas, cabling and other), we install additional new equipment (by adding antennas, cabling and other equipment to the top and bottom of cell tower). Our crews physically climb the tower and do that work. We have about $70k of unpaid work on 11 properties in 6 counties (3 in South FL and 3 in North FL). Our objective is to speedily recover the funds owed. All invoices are past due; we wrote a demand letter to the client to no avail. As the next step, we are looking to speedily place mechanics liens on these properties (performed parcel research already). Please note that, unlike other real estate, in cell tower business, landowner and tower owner are two separate entities. Any insight into helping us achieve objective is appreciated. Thank you.
